Join us for an in-depth view at the sustainability subjects that our team of expert guides work on every day. Talk by Tatiana Villalobos.
Tatiana Villalobos is a student at CR University who has been working with a coral reef restoration project in the sweet gulf. A pilot research project in Golfo Dulce is looking for new techniques to accelerate and improve the natural growth and recovery of coral reefs. The project, which involves growing corals from tiny coral fragments in underwater nurseries, is in the early stages, but the idea is to quickly produce many corals that can be transplanted on degraded reefs and accelerate the natural recovery process.
