Eden Putini’s developed background and roots in dance, movement, and body awareness made for a natural progression into yoga and massage therapy. In Los Angeles, Eden directs her own multi-faceted Yoga program and instructs and independently manages La Crescenta's "Yoga at the Park" Program. Eden's program not only brings yoga to the masses through the Parks and Recreation department, she also gives back to the community she serves. A portion of all proceeds are donated to keep the park thriving. Eden is a skilled private and group instructor serving all people at all fitness levels. Her yoga and massage background assist individuals in achieving emotional and physical health, providing a complete therapeutic package.
Eden’s several yoga certifications have currently led her to a focus on the Anusara inspired style. You will find her classes rooted strongly in alignment and healing principles, with detailed instruction in asanas (postures), pranyama (breath work), and meditation technique, for all levels of practitioners. She teaches from the mindset that yoga is called “practice” for a reason. From first time yogis, to the more experienced, Eden’s classes provide options for personal growth in a nurturing environment. She enjoys guiding her class to an improved state of being, based on their specific needs and abilities. Laughter and questions are encouraged from all her students and clients.
Joanna M. Caban De Leon, born and raised in Puerto Rico, has been giving massages to her parents since she was a child and to her friends during her growth. In 1999, she studies one of her passions, International Cuisine, worked it several years in a boutique hotel and restaurants. Listening to her inner spiritual guidance, Joanna decided in 2003 to make a pause to her career and follow her path into the therapeutic systems. Started by studying reflexology, followed by the energy balancing systems called Usui and Karuna Reiki, in which she had achieved the Reiki Master level. Eager to help others through her hands and knowledge, she also got certified as a massage therapist in P.R. and as a craniosacral therapist by the Upledger Institute.
Simultaneously, Joanna has been learning and practicing the principles of traditional hatha (physical), karma (selfless service), gnani (mental) and bakhty (devotional) Yoga. She now is certified as a Hatha Yoga instructor and offers all levels classes to the community. In her classes she presses on the body awareness and mind consciousness through correct breathing and body alignment in the assanas (postures). She believes that, in the course of a Hatha Yoga practice we get purpose conscious and in control of our body, helping us connect with our mind and through our mind, hopefully achieve a meditation state. She also incorporates in the massage therapies, body healing awareness through conscious breathing.
As an entrepreneur and wanting to help others throughout her job, Joanna now operates a self employment business called “Toque de Alegria” (Touch of Joy); in which she offers domiciliary massage therapies for the family, Reiki workshops/ initiations and yoga classes for the community. Desiring to incorporate her cooking passion into the natural healing lifestyle, Joanna now studies a bachelor degree in Holistic Nutrition with Clayton College of Natural Health. Her job purpose is to totally give herself and to serve as an instrument for the Divinity, so every person that passes through her hands could achieve physical, emotional, mental and even spiritual plenitude.
