Thank you Playa Nicuesa!!! Get away from it all and back to nature. There is WiFi only available from the main area of the lodge and no tv's. This is a good thing... get detached from all of those things. The lodge is remote... you have to take a boat there. There are trails, kayaks, paddle boards, beach and so much more. We did so much!!! We saw a pod of humpback whales, dolphins, fish, birds, monkeys, etc. In the evening you will hear a symphony from the rainforest animals/insects. The food was prepared daily for us in a healthy and customized way! We did yoga with the ocean breeze outside - a great informative class. We had an amazing stay. All of the staff was wonderful. We planned this visit for my husband's 50th Birthday. It was our first time in a Sustainable Lodge. It was impressive how organized and innovative the lodge was set up. The lodge is beautiful and so close to nature. What really made our stay was the hospitality of all the staff. Thank you to the management and staff for the wonderful memories

Magic, just magic...
We're still drying out from 5 days and 4 nights in the jungle during the rainy season, I mean the green season. And layers of green it was with wildlife up close from monkeys to bats to a coati that liked to hang by the lodge's back door. We will never forget the warm hospitality of a staff who treat you like family in a tree house lodge that beats back the encroachment of the jungle, but just enough. We are adventure travelers - happy off the beaten track - and we enjoyed our adventures at Playa Nicuesa. Howler monkeys were our alarm clock; we fished everyday and caught 8 new species - made ceviche for the staff and guests with the crocodile needlefish we caught that day. Thank you Chef Brian for a recipe to remember!! A sporty horseback riding jaunt organized by the Lodge took us along the beach, through meadows of a Brahma cattle ranch and into the jungle next to the Corcovado National Park. Daily yoga, delicious meals and a sustainable rainforest experience was magic, just magic. Don't ask me about the humidity, just be prepared

Awesome - excellent service
We had a very enjoyable stay. We went during the rain season and we had our share of rain; but it was beautful! Rooms were clean and adequate, beautifully prepared. Activities were fun and educating. We even had a special presentation on the coral in the area and efforts made to protect and increase them. Meals were delicious and all the help provided great service. I would return anyday and recommend it to any one who loves nature

very nice place
Place with very good service and friendly staff. The lodge was really blending in with the surrounding nature. Everything was made of wood. Shower with plants. The room was nicely decorated. We ate at a long table together with the other guests. So you make a lot of contacts. The food was well prepared, especially the nice cookies. We did the self guided hikes, you can do them all at once, in total about 7 km. We would prefer the choice of trails to be bigger. And we did the waterfall trail with a very nice guide,Gerson (hope he will send us the pictures), a spectacular trail were you go through water, climb on rocks with a rope. We enjoyed this very much. The only thing is that we saw less animals than expected. I know you have to be lucky, apparently we weren't, but still the forest is rather "young", there are not so many animals as in Corcovado. In total we had a nice stay, but that is what you expect for the price you pay for this lodge
