Unforgetable experience - indeed

This is a magic place, for sure! The location itself, the atmosphere, the intense sustainability principles they have, the sunsets and sunrises from there, the staff... Oh! just great! They cook really, really healthy and absolutely delicious. They have lots of tours and hiking trails on the property and outside, and the people that work there are like a big family. I do not like insects and lizards and stuff, but there I somehow ended up liking them a lot, everzbody is so considerate about the nature. It is an "out of the comfort zone" experience. In the night, you can jump into the ocean from the deck and hundrets of bio-luminescents glow around you like little stars! I must confess, that one needs some guts to jump in the first place. What I would mention is: be careful at the rocks on the beach! If you can bring some special shoes even better!!! Especially at low tide

best swimming

I loved it here. Great swimming in the ocean - jump of the dock barefoot or walk in from the beach with water shoes. awesome guests and staff - like summer camp. super fun community. turns out I had a bad reaction to bug bites but no other guest while I was there seemed troubled by bugs. i'd like to return when I'm in better shape so I can hike as well. unbelievably beautiful mountains framing the water - just breathtaking. food was good and drinks were cheap :-

Enchanting place!

4 nights spent in the Nicuesa Lodge were an enchantment. The wooden lodge is cocooning between the beach and the rainforest in a small bay, reachable only by boat. Waking up early with the howling monkeys and the birds, taking a superb yoga lesson on a deck facing the sea, sharing meals with likeminded people, enjoying walks, kayaking, reading in a hammock: it's a perfect place! The manager and his friendly and professional staff are always here to inform, explain, help. The lodge is ecofriendly (rewarded!) and a sustainability tour shows all the refined methods used in that place. A fabulous getaway
