Visit Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge

Amazing eco adventure in a beautiful secluded upscale lodge. No detail is overlooked -from the hibiscus flowers crowning the fresh 'towel sculptures' left by room service to the well marked and maintained trails. I visited with my 10 year old son, who was shocked by the scenery of the rainforest right next to the window. We were even fortunate enough to see monkeys by one of the cabins

We just left Nicuesa Lodge and I miss it already. It is an incredibly beautiful part of the world and the lodge itself is absolutely wonderful. It was all constructed with local, sustainable wood and the dining areas and cabins are beautifully designed and open to the surrounding wildlife. Everyone there was friendly and knowledgeable about the rainforest, and each day we went on a different hike or tour. We kayaked down the river, hiked miles through the rainforest to a stunning waterfall, snorkeled, went paddle boarding, swam, and so much more. We saw all kinds of wildlife- white faced and howler monkeys, coatis, macaws, intensely blue morpho butterflies, all kinds of frogs and super colorful crabs, etc. Each night at happy hour there was a delicious home made drink and appetizer. Meals were also delicious and they were really accommodating of my gluten free diet. Beds were comfortable and we fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean, frogs and the voices of the jungle. I wish I could bottle up those sounds and fall asleep to them at home! Great place for a family trip - I can't recommend it enough
