On April 23, Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge staff and any guests who want to help will clean the beach of any waste that has been dragged by ocean currents to the shore. This is especially important since the unforgettable gulf of Golfo Dulce is an important site for migrating Pacific Humpback Whales and other marine life.

Earlier this month, Nicuesa Lodge held a guest lecture on fascinating mangrove forests, which you can explore when you stay there by taking the river kayaking tour in the mangrove estuary of the Rio Esquinas. They also hosted Alejandro Solórzano from the University of Costa Rica who gave a talk about the incredible Costa Rica wildlife living around Nicuesa Lodge, and his investigations on sea snakes in the Golfo Dulce.
